CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AND BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY

The geo-political position of Latvia is beneficial for business contacts in many sectors, especially in the Baltic Sea region. How comprehensive is the knowledge and commitment of Latvian enterprises to the principles of economic sustainability? How are eco-friendly purchases planned, and should sustainable economics become an automatic major influencer for everyday commercial decisions in Latvia? Transitioning to sustainable economics – what are the challenges and benefits for Latvia? We will discuss these issues with environmental experts, touching on the direct and indirect threats posed to the environment by increased logistical traffic, including pollution of the Baltic Sea. During this session, we will learn how to motivate businesses to uphold high ethical standards in commercial interactions, both domestically and internationally. Swedish based Latvian experts will share their experience of the challenges facing sustainable urban planning in relation to basic uniting principles and 5G ecosystems.
